Ah, Sunday it is.. a task day~ cans to fill for recycle, a lesser one for garbage.....in my studio i see a landscape of clutter, with the fun-ctional horizonal surfaces awash with useful things.. the thin morning sunlight increases in velocity, colors speak their own voices more vigorously.. the tangled tousled colors of my borosilicate creations assume a near mythical depth of excitable coloration, the strands of gems and jewels on the shelf wall bask in the Light, moonstone and garnet, turquoise and amber,ripe glossy purple pearls amid the soft cream hued offerings... The serene pink quartz hums thoughtfully. Pieces of the earth,captured and groomed and somehow arrived in my life....
My life... i am on precipice here,not the Fool of the Tarot ready to step boldly into empty space, though i have done that aplenty in the many years i have been Blessed to Live....
I see with a greater clarity daily of how much time i have spent looking over my shoulder at these past years on this beautiful property , its beauty and peace compromised by the treacheries and duplicities of my long time partner.. he owns it, of course, and all my years of tending it, tending him through 15 years of illnesses,cancer, surgeries and many more miscellaneous maladies, being the sole caregiver of his Aunt Lillian, for 6 1/2 years until her death at 96,he betrayed me the Bequeathment she had wanted to give me,in appreciation for the constant care i gave her for those long lonely years. And right now, i surrender those...
It is forward i look now, broad horizon filled with promise....mine to live!! Filled with delight and anticipation the burdensome cloak tossed gaily aside.....
